The Generation of Cinderellas Story:

“Look at this: an entire generation of Cinderellas and there’s no glass slipper.”

– Almost Famous

I was diagnosed with Generalized Anxiety Disorder almost five years ago. Since then I have made a lot of progress but I still have my moments of weakness.

This quote from one of my favorite movies really resonates with me: It’s such a great parallel between the free spirited early seventies and today – everyone wants to live a glam, care free lifestyle but they don’t really want to work for it or feel anything real.

Scroll through your Instagram feed and it’s all boho-chic, Kylie Jenner types vacationing or driving around in expensive cars. Everyone is looking to be perfect. To be successful. . But what if that’s unattainable? What if that won’t truly make us happy?

After years of doing the same bad habits and expecting different results, I am ready to be challenged. I am ready to make some lifelong changes to help my overall well being and health. I wish I knew exactly what the recipe for success is – but I think it’s different for everyone. I hope that as I figure out what works best for me, I can help others in the process.

*Please note: I am not a certified therapist or a health professional. I definitely don’t have all the answers and I’m not perfect. I just know what works for me!
